Codeshare Agreements
Code sharing refers to a flight operated by one airline that is jointly marketed as a flight by one or more other airlines. LOT code shares with quite a few of its partner airlines in Star Alliance as well as some regional partners. This allows LOT to extend its network and allows it to be booked as a LOT through-fare. You can tell that a flight is operated by a codeshare partner by looking at the “Operated by” note appearing after each codeshare flight when you are booking flights. The operating carriers condition of carriage apply and therefore may affect certain items such as baggage allowance and fees, check-in times, UMNR and infants. It is best if you have questions to verify with the operating carrier.
