Name Correction (Name Element Correction) is a correction of the name (without change of passenger). It applies to all classes and fares for tickets issued, is valid ONLY on LOT OPERATED flights (no changes permitted for LO Marketing or other airline flights-code share flights) and is limited to the cases below:

- Improper placement of the surname in the name field element
- Name correction (max 3 characters)
- Marital status change
 

Changes are free of charge, but a standard $30.00 USD TRANSACTION FEE APPLIES for US agents. Agents must contact Sales support to do the name correction and re-issue the new ticket(s).

Any surname changes require head office action, therefore please allow 48 hrs.

The ticket should always match the reservation. For LOT ONLY operated flights, any minor time change requires the ticket to be revalidated. For itineraries that include other carriers, the ticket must be re-issued.

Note if you (the travel agent) are acting on behalf of the passenger, you must submit a signed letter from the passenger giving you authorization to act on their behalf and specifying if you can collect any compensation due on their behalf. This must be submitted with the original claim.

I, … (name and surname, date of birth, permanent address)
do hereby authorize the Agency … (name, head office, company ID) to enforce on my behalf claims against the air carrier arising from a disruption of flight … (flight number and date, route).
The Authorization Form entitles the Agency to file and pursue a complaint to the air carrier in the name of the passenger and to receive any monetary compensation to which the passenger would be entitled according to the applicable law.

Passengers travelling in Business class or Premium Economy class receive complimentary seat selection. Economy class passengers can book their seats up to 36 hours before departure for a fee, click here for pricing.
There is no charge for seats selected within 36hrs of flight departure. To book in advance there will be a charge and Travel Agents can contact Sales Support.
